What foods should include your child's lunchbox?
Energy: carbohydrates, sugars and fats. Function: provide energy. Sources: potato, sweet potato, cassava, bread, cake, biscuits, oils, nuts, cereals. Trainers: proteins. Function: growth and development of children. Sources: eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, meats, legumes, quinoa, kiwi, dried seeds. Regulators or protective vitamins, minerals and fiber. Function: metabolic processes, cellular function and protection against disease. Sources: fruits and vegetables. Moisturizers: ideally water. We can also provide fruit juices and natural sodas or quinoa, purple corn, oats, barley, etc..
